IEMCA: 40 years of history 40 years ago in Faenza, Italy, IEMCA was born, the world-leader in the production of automatic bar feeder for lathes. "We'll set up a party which will last 5 days and which will involve staff, customers, students from high schools and universities, suppliers, friends. This is how we intend to remember the 40-year activity of IEMCA, a leading company in their field and a forefront company as well, making Research and Innovation their scoring bullets". With these words Massimo Bucci, President of the holding company which IEMCA belongs to, opened on last June 5th the exhibition organised for the 40th anniversary of the company located in Faenza, which lasted till Saturday June 9th. So many have the guests been during these five days: from the President of Regione Emilia Romagna to the entrepreneurial class of Emilia-Romagna, from the numerous customers from all over the world to the Board of UCIMU, the organisation gathering the Italian Manufacturers of Tool Machinery. 60,2 million Euro, that's the 2000 turnover, featuring a 21% progression compared to 1999, 33,000 bar feeders placed on the market up to today, over 4.000 bar feeders produced every year in the three factories (Italy, USA, Taiwan), more than 40 active licences, an average of 4 innovative licences every year: these are IEMCA's figures, figures speaking on behalf of themselves.
